Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalum (learn as “Alibabavum Narpadhu Thirudargalum”; English: Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves) is a 1956 Indian Tamil action-adventure movie written, directed and produced by T. R. Sundaram below his manufacturing banner Trendy Theatres.

The movie options M. G. Ramachandran and P. Bhanumathi within the lead roles, with Ok. Sarangkapani, P. S. Veerappa, Ok. A. Thangavelu, M. N. Rajam, P. Susheela and M. G. Chakrapani in supporting roles. The movie’s authentic soundtrack and rating have been composed by Susarla Dakshinamurthy. The movie is a remake of the 1954 Hindi movie Alibaba aur 40 Chor; each movies are primarily based on the story Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves from One Thousand and One Nights.
